arrival details

Runners must be in by 8:00 am the latest.

We’ve made updates to the start and finish line area. Runners will need to walk approximately ¾ mile into the park to reach the start line, so please allow extra time to arrive and get ready. If you’re dropping off items at baggage, the walk will be 1 mile.

Runners are encouraged to arrive early and utilize pre-race shuttles from one of four designated lots. There is no parking at the start-finish area for Marine Corps 17.75K. Please allow for ample time to find parking and travel time on the shuttle.

Marine Corps 17.75K shuttles will service the following parking locations:

  • Grace Church – 17100 Van Buren Road, Dumfries, VA
  • Route 234 Commuter Lot – 17300 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, VA (across the street from the McDonald’s)
  • Fettler Park – Building #3800 & #3850, Fettler Park Drive, Dumfries, VA
  • Forest Park High School (Kiss and Run) – 15721 Forest Park Dr, Woodbridge, VA

Carpooling is strongly encouraged to ensure all participants can find parking at one of the four lots. Please note that in past years, the Grace Church and Fettler Park lots fill up quickly. We recommend planning for alternative parking locations.

Other non-shuttle parking options are available in the area including:

  • Montclair Commuter Lot – 16237 Dumfries Road
  • Brittany Neighborhood Park – 2880 Exeter Drive & Route 234 (Dumfries Road)
  • Moncure Park – 4433 Waterway Drive (Limited parking)
  • Gunston Hall Drive – Street parking (Provides access to Forest Park HS)

Please visit the Travel & Hotel tab for the shuttle schedule.
