Runners Gathered to Honor the Fallen at MCM Medal of Honor 8K

It was a festive conclusion to the 2019 MCM Event Series as more than 300 runners from 16 states participated in the second annual Medal of Honor 8K presented by Marines Plumbing and departed with a special holiday ornament. The 4.97-mile scenic #RunWithTheMarines took place at the Medal of Honor Gold Course aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico on the 78th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

Registration Announced for 2020 Distinguished Participant Medal

Registration for the 2020 Marine Corps Historic Half Weekend will open Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019. Ambitious runners can also sign up for the very limited Distinguished Participant Medal, which symbolizes a year-long commitment to running with the Marines.
MCM Marks 45 Years of Running with the Marines

To celebrate the 45th Marine Corps Marathon, the fee to register for the event has been reduced by 4.5% over the 2019 cost form $180 to $171.90. Active Duty military registrants will receive an additional 10% discount during the Active Duty registration period. The MCM50K, MCM10K and Kids Race cost will remain the same as 2019 prices.
MCM Announces Semper Fi Challenge for 2020

Beginning Friday, Nov. 1 at 12 p.m. the Marine Corps Marathon will open the Semper Fi Challenge to runners who just can’t resist running with the Marines. Semper Fi Challenge participants will wear a unique bib and receive a special Semper Fi Challenge medal at the finish line of the Marine Corps Marathon after completing events in both May and October.
MCM and Sodexo Present 2019 Healthy School Awards

Five Virginia elementary schools took home the 2019 Healthy School Awards for having the most student participants at the annual MCM Kids Run presented by Virginia529 – a one-mile just-for-fun run at the Pentagon North Parking lot in Arlington – on Saturday, Oct. 26.

One Mile Run Joins Quantico Tri and 12K on August 24 Lineup

The Marine Corps Marathon Organization (MCMO) is adding something new to the August 24 event lineup, hoping to encourage runners of all ages and abilities to participate in the day’s events. The new Quantico Mile will preceded the QUantico 12K, both adjacent to Officer Candidate School located on Marine Corps Base Quantico. The morning will being at banks of the Potomac River when 675 athletes begin the Quantico Tri.

Fourth MCM Event Series Win for Virginia Runner

Matt O’Neil, 23, from Woodbridge, VA captured the title top finisher once again today crossing the Marine Corps 17.75K finish line in 1:01:21. This is O’Neil’s fourth MCM Event Series win, previously claiming the title as the 2018 Belleau Wood 8K (27:18), 2017 Quantico 12K, where he broke the course record by nearly three minutes (40:17); and the 2018 Medal of Honor 8K (27:26).
Marine Corps Marathon Lottery to Open on Wed., March 20

The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) Lottery opens tomorrow to all runners eager to participate in the 44th Marine Corps Marathon. Due to the consistent volume of interest, the Marine Corps Marathon Organizer (MCMO) hosts a Lottery-based registration system in order to get 30,000 runners to the start line. The MCM Lottery follows MCM Rush Registration, which was completed on March 19.
Ultramarathon Man to Run Inaugural MCM50K
