REGISTRATION

  • The team captain, who is also a member of the team, will register and create the team. The captain will receive a confirmation email with a link to the team management page. From there, the captain can invite and manage the four-person team.
  • Each member of the team will pay the individual registration fee for the event.
  • Members of the team can only compete on one team in one category.
  • If there are any changes to the team makeup following the cutoff date, the team will be dissolved and members will become individual runners. Cutoff dates are as follows:
    • Marine Corps Historic Half
      • All teams registration has now closed.
      • General Registration is open now
    • Marine Corps Marathon
      • All teams registration has now closed.
      • General registration is open now.

If your team members are all registering (or are already registered) through different registration paths, the Team Captain should contact mcmcustomerservice@usmc-mccs.org once all members are registered. MCMO will be able to place all members on the same team internally. An example would be a team made up of individuals who are registering through a charity, another using their deferment, another registering with Access Granted and the final member using general registration.

Scoring:

  • To be scored as a team, all four members must successfully complete the event.
  • The team’s score will consist of the aggregate time of all four athletes.
  • The lowest aggregate time in each of the competition categories will be declared the winning team as the awards are one deep in each category.
  • Participants of teams are also eligible for the individual awards.
  • There will be winning teams from each breakdown (age and gender) in each category.
